How Pipedrive filters work

Updated: Apr 20, 2023

A strong customer relationship management (CRM) platform like Pipedrive enables companies to efficiently manage their sales process. One of Pipedrive's standout features is its filtering system, which helps users to arrange and categorize their sales data in order to get insightful knowledge about their sales funnel. We'll examine Pipedrive filters in more detail in this article and discuss how they might improve the efficiency of your sales process.

Filters in Pipedrive are essentially a way of narrowing down your sales data to show only the information you need. You can use filters to sort your deals, contacts, and activities based on a range of criteria, such as deal stage, contact location, or activity type. This can help you identify trends, spot areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to improve your sales performance.

To utilize filters within Pipedrive, first, choose the category of information that you intend to filter, whether it's deals, contacts, or activities. Subsequently, click the "Filter" button located in the upper right-hand corner of the interface. This action will prompt the display of filtering options that are segmented into three parts: Basic, Advanced, and Custom.

Your data can be filtered using basic criteria like transaction stage, pipeline, and user under the Basic area. Filtering options with greater specificity are available in the Advanced section and include filtering by deal value, activity date, and contact organization. Finally, you can build your own unique filters utilizing a variety of criteria by using the unique section.

Click the "Apply" button to view your filtered results after choosing your filtering criteria. By selecting "Save" and giving your filter a name, you can also save your filters for later use.

Additionally, Pipedrive provides a number of pre-built filters that may be used to swiftly sort your data according to standard standards. For instance, the "Lost Deals" filter displays all lost transactions, but the "Upcoming Activities" filter displays all activities that are scheduled to occur within the next week.

Pipedrive filters are an effective tool for managing your sales data and collecting insightful information about your sales process. You may detect trends, make data-driven decisions, and improve your sales process for greater efficiency and success by utilizing filters to organize your data based on important criteria. Therefore, if you aren't already using filters in Pipedrive, do so right away!
